Divorce

When contemplating a termination of a marriage, it is better for a husband and wife to make decisions in the best interests of one or both through Divorce Mediation or Collaborative Family Law methods. However, when a married couple decides to terminate their marriage but cannot agree as to the division of marital assets, debts, custodial issues and support. One party causes a Complaint for Divorce to be filed with the Court and that party asks the Court to end the marriage and issue court orders as to all the disputed marital issues.

Helping You Move Forward…

Our goal is to reach a settlement for you that allows you to move forward with your life. We strive to anticipate and settle the details of your divorce in a manner that reduces stress during the process and lessens the likelihood of contention after the divorce is finalized.

We try to work things out with a reasonable and logical approach. If litigation is necessary, we aggressively represent your interests in Court. Consulting with our attorneys at Ansbro Law not only places you in the best position while filing for divorce in Ohio, it paves the way for your future. We can guide you through this process and provide the advice you need.

Uncontested Divorce

An uncontested divorce in Ohio is one in which the spouses have agreed to divide their assets, determine child support and custody issues, and settle any alimony matters. This method paves the way for a more affordable divorce. If you should come to this agreement by negotiating directly with your spouse, we definitely urge you to consult an attorney to review the proposed agreement and ensure your rights are thoroughly protected. An uncontested divorce in Ohio is not complete until you appear at a final divorce hearing, where you are asked questions in relation to the agreement and the court approves that you and your spouse wish to divorce and abide by the terms of the executed agreement.

Divorce and Appeals

If you have already been through the divorce process but your divorce agreement was reached through a legal error, we can certainly help. An appeal is where experience matters. Attorney Mary Ansbro is a strong litigator and has built a reputation on difficult and fact-specific cases. If you feel a legal error occurred in your original divorce proceedings that affected your end result, please contact us for assistance in discussing all of your legal options.
